Isabella Davis
Nature-inspired glass artist, Isabella Davis, uses glass to design and create original works of art using both leaded and copper foil techniques; sometimes incorporating kiln and torchworked segments as accents to the overall design.
The last eight years have been spent using a torch to create glass beads with precious metal inclusions for her jewelry pieces; finalizing each with handcrafted silver or golden encasements and, occasionally, strung on handcrafted woven chains. Fused and etched glass pins, "Bella Bugs", are offered as dragonflies and bumblebees and, on occasion, ladybugs with golden painted wings. The last four years were spent studying jewelry techniques with Professor Christina Lemon at Georgia Southern University. The spring of 2004 opened up the joys and challenges of enameling on fine silver. When she is not working on her craft she is a landscape gardener and busy mother of five children, three still at home. Inquiries are always welcome.
